Gates Cambridge Scholarship

เป็นทุนการศึกษาที่ได้รับทุนมาจาก the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation ซึ่งมอบให้กับ University of Cambridge เป็นมูลค่าสูงถึง 210ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ ในปี 2000 และทุนนี้ถือว่าเป็นทุนการศึกษาชั้นนำของโลก

มอบทุนเต็มจำนวนนี้ จะมอบให้กับผู้ที่สมัครเข้าเรียนต่อปริญญาโท (1-2 ปี) หรือปริญญาเอก (3 ปี) ในหลักสูตรที่มหาวิทยาลัย Cambridge ได้เปิดกว้างไว้ (แต่จะมีหลักสูตรที่จะไม่ได้รับทุนอยู่ด้านล่าง) โดยผู้สมัครจะต้องเป็นผู้ที่มีสติปัญญาในระดับดีเยี่ยม มีความเป็นผู้นำ และมีความตั้งใจที่จะนำความรู้กลับมาพัฒนาคุณภาพชีวิต

มูลค่าทุน

  • ค่าเล่าเรียนเต็มจำนวน
  • ค่าใช้จ่ายส่วนตัวปีละ 17,500 ปอนด์ หรือประมาณ 751,200 บาท
  • ตั๋วเครื่องบินไปกลับชั้นประหยัด
  • ค่าวีซ่าและค่าธรรมเนียมประกันสุขภาพ
  • ค่าใช้จ่ายในการเข้าร่วมสัมมนาต่างๆ และการออกภาคสนาม (ถ้ามี)

หมดเขตรับสมัครทุน

ขึ้นอยู่กับแต่ละหลักสูตร ซึ่งจะอยู่ในช่วงระหว่างวันที่ 5 ธันวาคม 2561 – วันที่ 3 มกราคม 2562

The Gates Cambridge Scholarship programme was established in October 2000 by a donation of US$210m from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to the University of Cambridge; this is the largest ever single donation to a UK university.

We offer 90 full-cost scholarships each year to outstanding applicants from countries outside the UK to pursue a full-time postgraduate degree in any subject available at the University of Cambridge. The selection criteria are:

  • outstanding intellectual ability
  • leadership potential
  • a commitment to improving the lives of others
  • a good fit between the applicant’s qualifications and aspirations and the postgraduate programme at Cambridge for which they are applying

Eligibility

You can apply for a Gates Cambridge Scholarship if you are:

  • a citizen of any country outside the United Kingdom
  • applying to pursue one of the following full-time residential courses of study at the University of Cambridge:
    • PhD (three year research-only degree)
    • MSc or MLitt (two year research-only degree)
    • One year postgraduate course (e.g. MPhil, LLM, MASt, Diploma, MBA etc.)

Courses which are NOT eligible for Gates Cambridge Scholarships:

  • BA (undergraduate)
  • BA affiliated (a second BA)
  • MBBChir Clinical Studies
  • MD Doctor of Medicine degree (6 years, part-time)
  • Part-time degrees
  • Non-degree courses

Application deadline Dependent on your course – either 5 December 2018 or 3 January 2019
