Kent LLM Student Awards – exclusively for Thai, Kenyan and Nigerian Students

Tuition fee discount of £2,500

For entry in September 2020 or January 2021:
The Law School has established a major fund to support overseas students from Kenya, Thailand, or Nigeria who undertake a full-time, taught LLM at the Canterbury Campus of the University of Kent. This award provides a tuition fee discount of £2,500 to entrants who meet the eligibility conditions stated below. The University will assess eligibility for the award after an application for entry to the Kent LLM has been submitted. No further application for the award is required.

Criteria

To be eligible candidates must:
• Hold a valid passport demonstrating nationality of Kenya, Thailand, or Nigeria OR have successfully completed a Bachelor’s degree at a university in Kenya, Thailand or Nigeria (regardless of nationality)
• Be classified by the University of Kent as an international student for tuition fee purposes
• Be fully self-funding your studies
• Have firmly accepted an offer of a place on the taught Kent LLM at the Canterbury Campus of the University of Kent for entry in September 2020 or in January 2021, and have met the academic conditions of entry/be accepted for entry

How to apply

The University will assess eligibility for the award after an application for entry to the Kent LLM has been submitted. No further application for the award is required.

Successful recipients will be notified by email after their offer to study on the Kent LLM is firmly accepted. Notification will take place in August, and September.

This year, in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, The University of Warwick is offering one GREAT Britain Scholarship – Thailand, to the value of £15,000 for any master’s taught programme.

The GREAT Britain Campaign is the UK government’s initiative to promote the UK internationally as a GREAT place to visit, study and do business. The British Council is a partner in the campaign to raise awareness and promote UK’s strengths in education, English language and the arts.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Be a Thai national residing in Thailand
  • Be applying for a master’s taught course at the University to begin Autumn 2020 and be assessed as international for fee purposes.
  • Have received a conditional offer and have accepted this before the deadline date of 30 April 2020.
  • Must not be in receipt of funding, either from Warwick or from another external funding body.

Successful candidates are expected to:

  • Be active in the field with work experience or with a proven interest in the proposed subject are
  • Be willing to embody the UK Higher Education experience, by attending lectures and tutorials and engaging with extra-curricular activities, and act as an ambassador for UK Higher Education, by promoting the value of studying at a UK HEI
  • Be willing to establish an engagement with the UK as a scholar, through personal and academic fulfilment
  • Represent the high standards of the GREAT brand by becoming an advocate for scholarships
  • Be willing to attend a networking event of all UK-based GREAT scholars, to discuss experiences and capture perceptions of studying in the UK

 On return to Thailand:

  • Be willing to demonstrate future contribution to capacity-building and socio-economic advancement through the benefits achieved after graduating from UK higher education
  • Be willing to maintain contact with the British Council and act as an ambassador for the GREAT Scholarships, by sharing experiences of studying in the UK with future GREAT scholars
  • As an alumnus of the GREAT Scholarships, be willing to occasionally speak to potential candidates about your experience of studying in the UK.

Applications for the British Council GREAT scholarship-Thailand must be submitted online here. As part of your application you will need to upload an essay explaining in no more than 500 words why you think you are a strong candidate for the GREAT Scholarship – Thailand, how this scholarship will help you achieve your career goals and contribute to capacity-building and socio-economic advancement in your country.

The University awards scholarship on the basis of academic merit and information provided on your application to the University as well as your scholarship application forms. You may be contacted for additional information.

HRH Princess Sirindhorn Scholarship

The University of Liverpool has introduced a prestigious scholarship in honour of HRH Princess Sirindhorn, who was awarded an honorary Doctor of Laws degree by the University of Liverpool in March 2006.

One full scholarship will be awarded annually to enable a Thai student to come to Liverpool to complete a one-year taught Masters programme.

The scholarship will cover both tuition fees and £9,000 living costs for the year of study.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:

  • be a Thai national
  • already hold an offer to study a one-year taught Masters programme at the University of Liverpool.

The scholarship is open to all subjects offered a one-year taught Masters programme, however priority will be given to those students who wish to study in a subject area associated with HRH Princess Sirindhorn such as science, IT, medicine, the arts, geography, history and languages.

Application forms will automatically be forwarded to all eligible candidates by the International Recruitment, Relations and Study Abroad Team.

The deadline for 2020 entry is Friday 22nd May 2020.

ทุนชีฟนิ่ง

เป็นโครงการทุนการศึกษาระดับโลกของรัฐบาลอังกฤษ โดยอาศัยงบประมาณของกระทรวงการต่างประเทศอังกฤษและองค์กรร่วมสนับสนุนอื่นๆ ทุนชีฟนิ่งสนับสนุนการศึกษากว่า 14,000 หลักสูตรในมหาวิทยาลัยในสหราชอาณาจักรกว่า 150 แห่ง โดยจะมอบให้กับผู้ที่มีความรู้ ความสามารถโดดเด่น และพร้อมที่จะเป็นผู้นำ ที่ต้องการที่จะเรียนต่อปริญญาโท ในสาขาใดก็ได้ ที่มหาวิทยาลัยในสหราชอาณาจักร เป็นระยะเวลา 1 ปี

คุณสมบัติ

  1. เป็นพลเมืองไทย
  2. จบการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี GPA 3.00 ขึ้นไป
  3. ต้องมีผลสอบ IELTS overall 6.5
  4. มีประสบการณ์การทำงานจากงานประจำ ตั้งแต่ 2 ปีขึ้นไป หรือ มีประสบการณ์ฝึกงานไม่ต่ำกว่า 2,800 ชม.
  5. ต้องสมัครหลักสูตรและมหาวิทยาลัย 3 ที่ ไม่สมัครซ้ำกัน และต้องได้การตอบรับจากมหาวิทยาลัยนั้น ๆ แบบไม่มีเงื่อนไข (unconditional offer)
  6. ต้องได้ผลสอบภาษาอังกฤษ ตรงตามเงื่อนไขของทุนก่อนวันที่ 12 กรกฎาคม 2561
  7. ต้องมีความตั้งใจที่จะกลับประเทศไทย หลังจากจบการศึกษาทันที

การสมัครรับทุนการศึกษา Chevening

จะเปิดรับสมัครทุนการศึกษา ในวันที่ 6 สิงหาคม – 6 พฤศจิกายน 2561 โดยจะต้องยื่นออนไลน์ผ่านทางเว็บไซต์ของ Chevening โดยตรงที่ www.chevening.org/apply/

ไปรษณีย์ไทยเปิดรับสมัครเข้ารับทุนการศึกษาในระดับปริญญาโท สาขาบริหารธุรกิจ (Master of Business Administration) จำนวน 1 ทุน ณ ประเทศอังกฤษ หรือ ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา ประจำปี 2561

คุณสมบัติของผู้เข้าสมัครขอรับทุน

– มีสัญชาติไทย และมีอายุไม่เกิน 35 ปี
– จบการศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี สาขาวิชาใดก็ได้ และต้องไม่เคยรับทุนปริญญาจากมหาวิทยาลัยในประเทศ หรือต่างประเทศในสาขาวิชาบริหารธุรกิจ หรือวิชาเอกที่เน้นทางเดียวกับทุนที่จะไปศึกษา
– เป็นผู้ที่ได้รับการตอบรับให้เข้ารับการศึกษาในปีการศึกษา 2561 ระดับปริญญาโท ในสาขาวิชาที่ได้กำหนดไว้ หรือ กำลังศึกษาในระดับปริญญาโท ในสาขาวิชาที่กำหนดไว้ โดยมีระยะเวลาเหลืออยู่ใม่น้อยกว่า 1 ภาคการศึกษา
– ไม่เคยรับโทษจำคุก
– มีร่างกายสมบูรณ์ ไม่พิการทุพพลภาพ
– มีความประพฤติดี

การรับสมัคร

– สามารถโหลดใบสมัครได้ทางเว็บไซต์ http://file.thailandpost.com/upload/content/aaaaa_5a6fd27a19545.pdf และส่งใบสมัครทางไปรษณีย์ หรือทางอีเมลที่ mattana.in@thailandpost.com หรือยื่นใบสมัครได้ที่ฝ่ายพัฒนาบุคลากรบริษัทไปรษณีย์ไทย จำกัด ถนนแจ้งวัฒนะ เขตหลักสี่ กรุงเทพมหานคร 10210 ในวันและเวลาทำการตั้งแต่วันนี้จนถึงวันที่ 30 มิถุนายน 2561

– ผู้สมัครจะต้องยื่นใบสมัครพร้อมเอกสารและหลักฐานดังนี้:

• รูปถ่ายหน้าตรงไม่สวมหมวก, แว่นตาดำ ถ่ายมาแล้วไม่เกิน 6 เดือน ขนาด 1 นิ้ว 1 รูป
• ประวัติย่อ (Resume) และ Statement of Purpose จำนวน 1 ชุด
• สำเนาบัตรประชาชนและทะเบียนบ้าน อย่างละ 1 ชุด
• สำเนาหนังสือแสดงการยกเว้น หรือผ่านเกณฑ์ทหาร (กรณีเพศชาย) จำนวน 1 ชุด
• สำเนาปริญญาบัตรและใบแสดงผลการศึกษา (Transcript) ที่แสดงผลการเรียนตลอดหลักสูตร อย่างละ 1 ชุด
• ใบคะแนนผลสอบภาษาอังกฤษ TOEFL หรือ IELTS ที่มีอายุไม่เกิน 2 ปี นับถึงวันปิดรับสมัคร
• ใบตอบรับจากสถาบันการศึกษาให้เข้าศึกษาในระดับ ป.โท ในสาขาที่ตรงกับที่ไปรษณีย์ไทยกำหนด หรือกรณีศึกษาอยู่ในสาขาและมหาวิทยาลัยนั้นๆ อยู่แล้ว ให้ส่งหนังสือรับรองจากสถาบันมา รวมทั้งใบแสดงผลการเรียนของเทอมที่ผ่านมา (ถ้ามี)
